CESU Petition Solicitation Event

TALK to CESU Organization representative RON HEROUX and other Middletown citizens to learn about our MISSION, our PETITION, the issues of school unification, as we will be discussing the benefits and challenges of school unification on Aquidneck Island. 


We are asking Middletown RESIDENTS to SUPPORT us and SIGN THE PETITION to begin discussions of school unification!

Support comprehensive, non-binding discussions of school unification in Middletown, RI


A PETITION of Middletown, Rhode Island Residents:

The Middletown Town Council declined to explore potential educational, extracurricular and financial benefits of Middletown and Newport school unification.

We the undersigned respectfully ask the Middletown Town Council to reconsider its decision and support comprehensive, non-binding discussions of school unification.


This petition is sponsored by Citizens Exploring School Unification (CESU) -  a grass-roots group formed to promote discussion of school consolidation. 

We are:

· Asking for your input

· And your support

· Working to explore unification issues

· Working to develop the political will to confront the realities of old schools with declining school populations

Screening Party: Our Town - Middletown

The Middletown Public Library and the Friends of the Library invite you to a screening party to watch the premier broadcast of Our Town: Middletown on the Library’s large screen TV. The documentary produced by RI PBS, features Middletown folks who became storytellers and filmmakers to capture the stories they wanted to tell. These stories have been woven together into a visual tapestry of nostalgia, humor, enterprise, history – even a surprise or two – all representing life in Middletown through the eyes of those who know and love it.
